Code of Conduct Agreement
Thank you for being part of the CREWbiz community. To ensure the best possible experience for all community members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.
We understand that our members are becoming more social and are connecting online. As such we encourage all to participate in our online community. CREW Network hosts several pages on public tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Instagram and YouTube along with CREWbiz, our private members’ only social network. These platforms are great tools to get the advice of your peers, learn from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation. By participating on social platforms that are CREW Network branded, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines.

In order to preserve an environment that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, CREW Network reserves the right to discipline CREWbiz users, delete posts or terminate accounts for members who violate these rules.
Focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them. Please extend the benefit of the doubt to newer guests and members; there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
Do not post commercial messages.
Use the community to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals instead of products or services that you provide. If you’ve found a product or service helpful, please share your experience with the group in a respectful way. CREW Network is all about networking, but please do not post a discussion about your product(s) or service(s) unless it is in response to a discussion post seeking such product or service.
Job posts must be in our Career Center first.
CREW Network launched a new Career Center on Sept. 1, 2020 and has discontinued complimentary job postings in the CREWbiz Community. Job postings are only permitted in CREWbiz if they are posted in our Career Center first. Members receive a 50% discount on all CREW Network Career Center postings—which means they pay only $200 USD for a 60-day posting ($400 for nonmembers). Posting your job opening in our Career Center also means that your company is directly supporting CREW Network and gaining direct access to 12,000 members across all disciplines of commercial real estate. It’s a win-win!
Use caution when discussing products.
Information posted on the discussion groups and in the libraries is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.
Note our policy when promoting events, certifications or classes.
Have a CREW Network chapter or affiliate group event to promote to fellow members? Feel free to share it. Non-CREW events will only be considered if the event/host is willing to offer all CREW Network members a discounted rate to attend or participate.
All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.
Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.
Respect intellectual property.
Post content that you have personally created or have permission to use and have properly attributed to the content creator.
When posting items in our collaborative environment, please indicate if the item is not available for reuse.
It’s also advisable to contact the owner of any material if you would like to reuse it.
Remember that CREW Network and other participants have the right to reproduce postings.
Some general tips to help you maintain good etiquette when reproducing content:
- Be courteous. Please ask participants for permission to republish their words elsewhere (especially if elsewhere would be a publicly viewable setting).
- When citing CREWbiz discussions, please include a link back to the original discussion or to the CREWbiz homepage.
State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line.
This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
Do not post messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" on a thread.
We encourage our members to send simple messages of appreciation/agreement directly to the individual via email. This keeps the community thread focused and concise. list. The Reply link on the thread should be used if you need to send the same message to a majority of the recipients in the community (think 12,000 members globally).
Do not send administrative messages, such as “remove me from the list,” to the group.
Instead, use the web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list. If you are changing email addresses, you do not need to remove yourself from the list and rejoin under your new email address. Simply change your settings.

CREW Network disclaims all warranties with regard to information posted on these sites, whether posted by CREW Network or any third party; this disclaimer includes all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall CREW Network be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on these sites.
Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that he or she owns the copyright with respect to such material or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants CREW Network and users of this community the nonexclusive, world-wide, transferable right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or other material in any way and in any medium, including but not limited to print or electronic form.
Content should not be posted if it encourages or facilitates members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or implicitly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade. Content that encourages or facilitates an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale; salaries; profits, profit margins, or cost data; market shares, sales territories, or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection, or termination of customers or suppliers. CREW Network does not actively monitor these sites for inappropriate postings and does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, if any inappropriate posting is brought to CREW Network’s attention, CREW Network will take all appropriate action.
